Your Los Angeles Lakers took down the San Antonio Spurs 122-119 on Wednesday evening, in the first of two straight road meetings with San Antonio. LA was coming off a game against the Dallas Mavericks the night before, where they lost right at the end.

This was a nice bounce back game for the Lakers, but it didn't come easy. They dominated for the majority of the contest, but the Spurs fought back down the stretch.

The Lakers were outscored by 15 points in the fourth quarter, leading to a much closer game than anyone in LA would have liked. The Spurs made them work for the win, but LA was able to hold on.

After the game was over, head coach Darvin Ham got into his club for its common sense down the stretch of the game.

It seems that the Lakers took their foot off the gas in the fourth quarter, and they almost paid the price for it. Going forward, they will need to be a little more careful when having a big lead, but luckily they got the win.

Ham likely knows that they were lucky to get the win, and he knows that they need to be better. The performance of this team in the fourth quarter wasn't pretty, but the good teams find a way to win.

Without LeBron James, the team needed to step up to get the win. Big man Anthony Davis dropped 37 points and 10 rebounds to lead the team, showing just how dominant he can be.

The Lakers will hopefully learn from their fourth-quarter mistakes and move forward. They get to face the Spurs on Friday, so it'll be a quick turnaround against this group once again.
