Lakers News: Darvin Ham Details How LA "Found A Way To Win" In Ugly OT Game Vs Wizards

Darvin Ham explains how Lakers won ugly game.

Your Los Angeles Lakers can breathe a sigh of relief after sneaking away with a 134-131 win over the Washington Wizards.

In what should have been an easier game for the Lakers going up against a team with just a 9-50 record, the Lakers had to go into overtime to pull away with a win against the Wizards.

Lakers head coach Darvin Ham talked about how they got the win after the game.

"We found a way to win ...some unfortunate plays, some plays didn't go our way, but as good teams do you have to find ways. It's not going to be pretty every night, it's extremely difficult to win in this league night in and night out. Our guys pulled together when we needed to and made the plays when we needed to."

Though the Lakers found a way to win, it would have been much more encouraging for them to have controlled the game in the first place. Instead, the Lakers had to battle all night long to put away one of the worst teams in the NBA.

Anthony Davis did go off for the Lakers in the win, rolling to 40 points, 15 rebounds and four assists. LeBron James added 31 points, four rebounds and nine assists.

The day prior, the Lakers had earned a much more impressive 116-112 win against the Los Angeles Clippers, who rank fourth in the Western Conference standings. Having back-to-back games or not taking their opponent seriously enough could have hurt the Lakers against the Wizards, but they'll need to bring their A-game back as they prepare to face the Denver Nuggets on Saturday.
