It could be worse, right?

The Los Angeles Lakers could be in a better spot at the moment. They're six games below .500, the 13th seed in the Western Conference, and their superstar LeBron James could be missing some time.

After breaking the NBA's all-time scoring record on Tuesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder, James will be missing his second straight game against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night.

NBA insider Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report revealed on his #thisleague UNCUT podcast with Marc Stein that the 38-year-old is struggling with a foot injury.

And today, head coach Darvin Ham said that LeBron would be day-to-day for the immediate future.

Haynes also reported that James has been struggling with this foot issue for a few weeks now, and it bothered him the night he broke the record.

Just as if the Lakers needed anything else to go wrong for them. LA must go on a roll if they want a chance at getting into the play-in tournament, which could diminish their chances.

The NBA's all-time leading scorer has had a tremendous 20th season in the league. James is averaging 30.2 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game while shooting 50.8% from the field and 31.5% from three in 44 games.

In the meantime, Anthony Davis must play like the superstar we all know he can play on a nightly basis. Most importantly, the Lakers must avoid more significant injuries to their core players. The new-look Lakers, with D'Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt, Malik Beasley, and Mo Bamba will do their best to try and stay afloat while LeBron could miss an extended period of time.
