Lakers News: Draymond Green Spotted with LeBron James on Vacation

Could LA get a little greener?
In this story:

It's the NBA offseason so that means rumors are swirling. It's normally a ton of smokescreens but this is the time that things come together. Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green recently declined his player option and will now be a restricted free agent. There has been speculation that Green may not be back with the Warriors after multiple incidents.

If Green were to leave the Warriors, one landing spot could be the Lakers. While it's unlikely Green ultimately ends up with LA, he is very close with star LeBron James. So much so that the two vacation together during the offseason. The two men were spotted hanging out in France this weekend amid the contract situation for Green.

Green would be a hell of a get for the Lakers if it were to happen but they would need to do a sign-and-trade in order to satisfy his financial need. This is why it's unlikely that Green takes his talents down to Los Angeles from the Bay Area.

If Green were to join the Lakers, it could be special. His defensive ability would be great paired with Anthony Davis. He would also bring a level of toughness and leadership that the Lakers haven't seen in awhile. Green would push everyone to be the best versions of themselves and bring a championship pedigree in the process.

Green does all the little things that a team could want, even with his limitations on offense. It's more likely that he remains with the Warriors but Laker fans can dream. James and Green know what they are doing and are just adding fuel to the fire.
