Lakers News: Eagles Defender Takes Random Jab at LeBron James While Talking to Reporters

Was this REALLY necessary?

Four-time Finals MVP Lebron James faced heavy criticism for exaggerating contact early in his career through flops and poor acting jobs.

Though the King's acting transitioned from on the court to the big screen with his new LA playing home, some aren't willing to let his past go.

The most recent example of this is exciting Eagles rookie Jalen Carter who flopped in primetime on Sunday Night Football with a nod to James for inspiration for his move.

Carter helped his team to victory against the Dolphins and has proved a solid contributor for one of the NFL's best rosters.

The defensive tackle had top-three draft hype this past April before numerous off-field incidents and a poor combine slid him to ninth to Philadelphia.

2022's NFC champs took advantage of their opportunity and drafted Carter as the most recent Georgia Bulldog alum to join their talented core.

Week 7's flop wasn't Carter's finest moment and the unnecessary shot should give James even more motivation ahead of his 21st season in the league.

James already faced criticism about his age, retirement concerns, and questions about his media market favoring his team over other smaller market franchises.

Denver was the main contributor to this trend throughout the summer as they rubbed their Western Conference sweep of LA into the faces of purple and gold for months.

LA gets their first crack at revenge to open the regular season against Denver on their ring night for the NBA's first game of the 2023-24 season.

Anthony Davis already mentioned a revenge mentality headed into the contest and LA's new look roster hopes to reflect such sentiment for a big opening statement this week.
