Lakers News: ESPN Analysts Jokingly Persuade Rui Hachimura to Recruit Shohei Ohtani to LA
LA sports fans have been experiencing a roster bonanza from both the Dodgers and the Lakers, and for newly re-signed Laker, Rui Hachimura, he's trying to kill two birds with one storm by putting in a word for potential future Dodgers star, Shohei Ohtani.
ESPN Los Angeles's, Steve Mason and John Ireland, welcomed multiple Lakers stars, both new and returnees, for a discussion on their new chapters in the NBA world.
As excited as the Japanese-American forward is to be ink a new deal with the Lakers, he didn't had back on the recruitment for MLB and Angels Star, Shohei Ohtani.
When asked by the ESPN 710 panelists if he's met his fellow athletic countryman, Rui Hachimura did not hesitate to tell his cute-meet story with Ohtani and how much Japanese sports fans love the Angels Ace.
"He's really big [in Japan]... One of those athletes where nobody really knows him outside of baseball."

A part of the phone call was Former Laker, Michael Thompson, who was not hesitant to ask if Hachimura if he had Ohtani's phone number.
Thompson then proceeded to give Rui an order to help recruit the Japanese baseball star to the Dodgers next season.
"Why don't you get on the phone with Ohtani and convince him to sign with the Dodgers next season."
"Tell him how fun it is to play in LA as opposed to Anaheim."

Shohei Ohtani is baseball's biggest star and as he continues to play through the final year of his contract with the Angels, there are tons of teams who are fighting for the home run hitting Pitcher's signature.
For the sake of Los Angeles, Rui, if you can help out with the recruitment of Shohei Ohtani to the Los Angeles Dodgers, you could be up there on the list of Dodger greats.
Maybe have a guaranteed jersey retired.
