Lakers News: Frustrated Darvin Ham Bemoans "Tale Of Two Halves" Vs Brooklyn

Los Angeles dropped another very winnable game against the Nets.

Just when we thought that our Los Angeles Lakers may have found their groove, they pulled out their same old tricks on Friday night, falling 130-112 to the Brooklyn Nets. This season has been full of ups and downs, with different twists and turns along the way.

Los Angeles entered the season with high expectations, but they have fallen flat in living up to them so far. After two straight wins over top Western Conference teams, the Lakers held a lead at halftime over the Brooklyn Nets.

It was a nice first half for the team, but once the second half started, everything came crashing down. Brooklyn outscored the Lakers 38-22 in the third quarter, and completely flipped the game around.

What was a very winnable game for the Lakers on their home floor, became another reminder that this team isn't very good. Lakers head coach Darvin Ham didn't hold back after the game, explaining that it was a tale of two halves for this team again.

I thought for the most part our effort, our pace, us sharing the ball ... it was all clicking. They started to make a run, and we just kind of fell apart. ... Talk about a tale of two different halves. That first half is what we're working towards ... and then the inconsistency reared its head in the second half."

At this point, the Lakers are who they are. They are a team capable of beating the best in the game, but they are also capable of losing to bad teams as well.

The inconsistency of the team on the floor has been frustrating for everyone involved to say the least. It has led them to talk about firing Ham, and even completely overhauling the roster.

They are expected to be very active at the trade deadline, and hope that it works out again. If the Lakers can't turn this year around, it will go down as one of the more disappointing in franchise history.
