After a hot start to the NBA in-season tournament, your Los Angeles Lakers are in a great position as they lead the West Group A pool 3-0 and have a chance to take complete control of the lead when they will play against the second-place Utah Jazz (2-1) tonight.

The in-season tournament is a brand new addition to the NBA season and has basketball fans left with many questions about the tournament about what is next.

Going forward, we have all of your questions answered by all of these hypotheticals.

With a win tonight, the Lakers would clinch the Group A section and have home-court advantage for the quarterfinals. If not, Utah will clinch that spot but will need a Phoenix Suns loss tonight.

With tip-off set to begin at 7:00 PM PT. the Lakers securing the number one spot in Pool A will likely rest on the shoulder of Small Forward Lebron James who is coming off a dominant performance against the Houston Rockets on Sunday night where he scored 37 points with six rebounds, eight assists, and three steals.

Coming into tonight, James is averaging and leading the team with 26.4 points and 6.5 assists per game.

Behind him is Power Forward Anthony Davis who is averaging 22 points per game and 11.7 rebounds, the highest on the team.

This will be the first matchup between the Jazz and Lakers for the 2023 season. Last year, the Lakers were .500 against Utah as they split the season series at 2-2.

Los Angeles will be entering tonight's game as winners of their last two as they won a nail-biter against the Rockets on Sunday night that featured an Austin Reaves three-pointer to give LA the go-ahead lead in the fourth with just 23 seconds left.
