With the NBA trade deadline coming up in a few weeks, the Los Angeles Lakers will be one of the busier teams in the league. They have multiple needs to address this year, and it won't be easy for their front office.

Los Angeles has limited trade assets, but general manager Rob Pelinka will work with what he has. The team has been linked with a few All-Star guards already, most notably Dejounte Murray from the Atlanta Hawks.

But if the Lakers don't want to go down the star route once again, there are other name that they've been interested in.

The Athletic's Lakers Insider Jovan Buha broke down some names that the team has been looking at with the deadline coming up. Two names should be very familiar to the Lakers fans, and that would be Dorian Finney-Smith and Royce O’Neale from the Brooklyn Nets.

"Other names that have come up in talks with team and league personnel over the past two weeks include Portland’s Jerami Grant, Charlotte’s Terry Rozier, Toronto’s Gary Trent Jr. and Brooklyn’s Dorian Finney-Smith and Royce O’Neale. Each player fills at least one of the Lakers’ three needs."

Per Jovan Buha of The Athletic

If the team could land either of both of these players, they would vastly help. Finney-Smith is like a swiss army knife and can fit in on any team. His ability to play both ends of the floor effectively would greatly help the Lakers.

O'Neale can play some defense as well, and he shoots very from beyond the three-point line. He could help the Lakers address some of their perimeter defense issues, and give them a trusted shooter on the floor.

Neither player will come cheap, and Brooklyn values both extremely well. But the Lakers have been interested in them for years, and they know the type of additions they would make to the roster.
