Your Los Angeles Lakers' 2023-24 season has been one of the more frustrating around the NBA. They entered the season with high expectations, only to fall flat with a set of ups and downs.

The inconsistency on the floor is likely to see the Lakers be very active at the trade deadline. The front office knows that they have to improve the roster, otherwise, it will likely become a wasted season for them.

According to Lakers Insider Jovan Buha of The Athletic, Los Angeles is looking at possibly bringing in guard Terry Rozier to the mix. L.A. had interest in Rozier previously, and could pivot back to him at the trade deadline.

"Other names that have come up in talks with team and league personnel over the past two weeks include Portland’s Jerami Grant, Charlotte’s Terry Rozier, Toronto’s Gary Trent Jr. and Brooklyn’s Dorian Finney-Smith and Royce O’Neale. Each player fills at least one of the Lakers’ three needs."

Per Jovan Buha of The Athletic

Rozier would be an interesting addition to this Lakers team, but he can play both ends of the floor. He hounds players on defense and has the ability to knock down the three-pointer in high volumes.

The biggest issue with Rozier is his contract. He is owed $24 million next season and then has a non-guaranteed deal for the following year. The front office may not want to take on that type of salary for a non-All-Star level player.

In 28 games for the Charlotte Hornets, the guard is averaging 23.8 points and 6.7 assists per game. He is also shooting 37.6 percent from beyond the three-point line, which is something that the Lakers desperately need help with.

Rozier isn't the perfect fit, and he may not help get the Lakers to move the needle. But it's a start, and this team needs to change something before it's too late.
