A well deserved award!
In this story:

For the last 36 years, Stu Lantz has been a consistent voice for Laker fans as one of the teams broadcast analysts. He lives, breathes and is apart of the Los Angeles Lakers. Recently, Lantz was honored by the Television Academy as the recipient of the 75th Los Angeles Area Emmy Governors Award for his service.

The award is given to a person or organization that is selected by the award commiteee that has made an outstanding or innovative achievement towards the arts, sciences, tv and more. Lantz has certainly done that and is well deserving of the award this year.

"For 36 seasons, Stu has served Los Angeles and Lakers fans across the globe with his vast knowledge, skill and passion for basketball,” said Frank Scherma, chair of the Television Academy. “His long career in broadcasting is a testament to both his professionalism and immense popularity, and we are thrilled to recognize him for his contributions to our television community.”

Lantz has taught different generations of Laker fans the game. Watching a broadcast is supposed to be a fun experience and Lantz brings that each time he is working. Laker fans have become used too hearing his voice while watching the Lakers and it brings a sense of comfort to hear.

He has called games with so many star Laker players in uniform from Magic Johnson, to Kobe Bryant and now LeBron James. He truly has transcended the game of broadcasting and Laker Nation is thankful for him.

Congrats Stu! We can't wait to hear more calls this coming season as the Lakers look to get back to the mountain top!
