Lakers News: LeBron James Congratulates Caitlin Clark For Insane NCAA Record
Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James knows a thing or two about breaking records.
This is why it was no surprise when James took his time on Sunday to congratulate Iowa's Caitlin Clark on surpassing Pete Maravich for the NCAA scoring record.
James took to X to congratulate the all-time NCAA leading scorer.
Clark broke the record in the second quarter of her game against the Ohio State Buckeyes on senior night. The Hawkeyes came out on top 93-83, with Clark leading all scorers with 35 points, nine assists and six rebounds in 39 minutes.
James is coming off a record-breaking night of his own when he became the first NBA player to hit the 40,000-point mark.
The four-time NBA champion is in year 21 and has broken every record known to the NBA. He's the all-time leading scorer in NBA history, top ten all-time in rebounds and assists, and top ten in the playoffs in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks.
He's done all he could in an NBA career, and the crazy thing about it is he's not done yet. Clark hopes to do the same when she gets to the pro level next season.
This is an incredible accomplishment for the senior guard—breaking a record no one thought would ever be broken. She's exceptional, and we can't wait to see her perform at the pro level.
