Lakers News: LeBron James Gets Honest About Teammates' Poor Shooting Against Rockets

LA needs to fix its shooting problems quickly!

Your Los Angeles Lakers edged out a win over the Houston Rockets on Sunday evening but did so while shooting the ball very poorly from three-point land. As a team against Houston on Sunday, the Lakers shot six for 29 from beyond the three-point line. That isn’t going to get it done in the NBA today, and they were lucky to come away with the win.

However, shooting guard Austin Reaves did hit a clutch three-point shot to help seal the win for the Lakers. Star forward LeBron James trusted him with the ball in the late moments of the game, and Reaves proved he could handle himself.

James spoke about the team's shooting struggles after the game but didn’t shy away from letting his teammates keep on shooting the ball.

“One thing about me, I’m going to continue to trust my teammates no matter if they go in or not.”

Three-point shooting has been a problem for the Lakers for a long time now, spanning multiple seasons. They have tried to address the issue, but for some reason, when players put on the Lakers jersey, they forget how to shoot the basketball.

It might be the pressure that comes from playing for the historic franchise, but something has to give. This team needs to figure something out soon, otherwise, it will end up costing them when it matters most.

LA will keep working on a fix to their shooting issues, but they have been getting good looks. If they continue to get good looks, they will likely live with the results, even if they aren't going down.
