Lakers News: LeBron James Not The Only Bronny Fan On LA's Roster
Your Los Angeles Lakers' team chemistry appears on the rise. To wit, D'Angelo Russell detailed how the team bonded postgame following the Lakers' January 17th win over the Dallas Mavericks.
Per Michael Corvo of ClutchPoints, Russell indicated that the Lakers found themselves "hustling back into the locker room" to watch Bronny James, son of All-NBA LA forward LeBron, take on the 12th-ranked Arizona Wildcats on the road.
Bronny has now made a few starts for the Trojans, all in place of projected 2024 NBA lottery pick Isaiah Collier, who has been dealing with a hand injury.
James, however, continues to show flashes of potential on both sides of the ball.
A 6-foot-3 combo guard, Bronny has a lot of upside as a shooter and defender, while also displaying a strong skillset as a connective passer. He's athletic and offers some ability to pressure the rim too, which, collectively, creates a player comparison akin to that of a Derrick White, Jrue Holiday, or Malcolm Brogdon.
All three of those players are high-impact, respected assets around the league that have contributed to winning everywhere they've gone.
It's safe to say that scouts see Bronny the same way, as several mock drafts project him being drafted much higher than his stats would suggest.
The struggling Trojans (8-11 overall, 2-6 in conference play) are likely making James look worse than he is too, so keep an eye out during the later part of the season/combine, as his stock could shoot up around the right teams and competition.
