One of the best news stories in sports that has come out over the last few weeks is that Bronny James, son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, was cleared to make his return to the court.

Bronny suffered an unfortunate cardiac arrest earlier in the summer, but he now is healthy enough to make his debut with the USC Trojans.

The freshman guard is scheduled to make his debut this coming Sunday against Long Beach State, and it will be a spectacle at Galen Center.

LeBron will be in attendance for the game, which will be a special moment in itself for him. The elder James spoke about what it will mean for him to watch his son make his collegiate debut live in person.

James had already said that he would miss any potential Lakers game if it coincided with Bronny making his debut. Luckily for James and the Lakers, that won't be an issue.

This may be one of the biggest moments in the life of James, and it is one of the most highly-anticipated college debuts in a long time. Bronny has been working to get to this point, and thankfully, we are finally here.

Bronny, a 6'5" combo guard who was brought in as a four-star recruit out of Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, does have some NBA buzz around him. If he performs well this season, the league could end up drafting him as early as next summer. But for now, the most important thing is that he is healthy enough to make his debut and that his dad will be in attendance to watch it all happen.
