Lakers News: LeBron James Savors Son Bronny's USC Run, Win Or Lose
It's been a momentous basketball season for Los Angeles Lakers All-Star forward LeBron James and family. Outside of James playing in his 21st NBA season, his son Bronny James is in his first season playing for the USC Trojans.
LeBron recently reflected on watching his son playing college hoops while sitting with his proud mom.
"Crazy man!" LeBron said on X. "My mom sitting right next to me just said 'You know how amazing this is!? Sitting here with my son while watching my grandson on TV. I feel so present and blessed'. Shit almost brought me to tears just now."
While it hasn't been the ideal freshman season for Bronny, it's still a remarkable accomplishment for the father-son duo to both reach such a high level of play. If Bronny decides to enter the NBA Draft, him and LeBron could take the next step by becoming the first father-son duo to play in the NBA at the same time.
The James family also has another promising player emerging in James' second son, Bryce, who is still in high school. Regardless of how well his sons play, James and his mom already have plenty to be proud of.
Even if Bronny has had some scoring troubles as of late, the young guard has plenty of time to improve since he is only halfway through his freshman year after suffering cardiac arrest before the season began. He also has shown strong potential defensively.
After being held without a score for two consecutive games over a week ago, Bronny has put up 18 points, nine rebounds and 11 assists through the past two games. Through this point, Bronny is averaging 5.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists. He is slowly earning more playing time and has now started three games, in part because of injuries to his teammates.
