When LeBron James first signed on with your Los Angeles Lakers as a free agent in 2018, there was a lot of skepticism that his focus was no longer on basketball, but rather the glitz and glamor of Los Angeles.

Although the four-time NBA MVP has proven the haters wrong by winning a championship during his time in Hollywood (his fourth overall), it seems that he still has some messages to the haters who didn't believe in him.

"But I just came here to make movies though! Ain't that what y'all said right!?!?" James posted to his Instagram story late Saturday night.

The 19-time NBA All-Star posted this in conjunction with a photo that highlighted his performance against Portland Friday night, his 108th game scoring 30 points or more in the Purple and Gold.

While the NBA's all-time leading scorer certainly has nothing left to prove at this point in his storied career, it appears that he still carries a chip on his shoulder.

His play in his 6 seasons with the Lakers has been nothing short of stellar, as he has averaged 27.3 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per game in his 290 contests in Hollywood.

If his play on the court hasn't proven the haters wrong enough already, his off-the-court performance certainly has.

Much of the speculation that the 4-time finals MVP was only coming to LA to star in movies was based on his role in the 2021 film Space Jam: A New Legacy.

The sequel to the 1996 film starring Michael Jordan was often scrutinized during its filming and production, and this scrutiny carried over to the Box Office, where Rotten Tomatoes critics only gave the film a 25% rating.

While his success in the box office may not match Jordan's, LeBron's "twilight years" have been matched by none.

The future Hall of Famer came to Los Angeles to win basketball games and lead the Lakers to championships, and even in his 21st season he's still making sure that everyone knows it.
