Lakers News: Los Angeles, Denver Finalize Starters For Saturday Night Fight
Losers of seven straight against Denver (including their Western Conference Finals sweep last spring), your Los Angeles Lakers will look to turn a corner tonight, with their newfound explosiveness on offense potentially out-dueling the Nuggets' high powered group.
LA has seemingly found a more consistent formula on offense after going 9-3 in the month of February. Much of the Lakers' recent success can be attributed to the consistent play of D'Angelo Russell.
To that end, the Lakers will trot out what has been a successful starting 5 for them, led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis, with D'Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves joining them in the backcourt, along with Rui Hachimura at forward.
For Denver, they'll look for another dominant performance against the Lakers.
Led by two-time league MVP and reigning finals MVP Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Christian Braun (in for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope), Michael Porter Jr., and Aaron Gordon round out a formidable five-man group.
A perfect combination of everything on both ends of the floor, LA will have their hands full yet again as they deal with their size, shooting, and ball movement.
