Lakers News: Los Angeles Superstar Projects Ceiling Of 2024 Team

Let's hope this pans out!
In this story:

Anybody who follows Magic Johnson on Twitter knows that he usually takes to the app after big games and shares his own review and break down of what he saw happen.

Obviously, he tends to do this after the Los Angeles Lakers have a key matchup and he was someone that had been vouching for them to make some prominent changes at this most recent trade deadline.

GM Rob Pelinka listened and he did not stop there as a number of key moves were also made once free agency hit and besides just some prominent roster members returning, versatile veterans in Gabe Vincent, Taurean Prince and more will be joining the squad to make them even deeper than last season. Johnson has witnessed plenty of basketball in his life dating back to when he was the starting point guard for the purple and gold and when asked recently about LA heading into the new year, he likes their chances in a fiery Western conference.

"This is a

Western Conference championship

team. We could actually win everything if we can stay healthy. This team has a real shot. We got three guys — LeBron,

AD

and

D’Angelo

— to keep healthy. But with this team, it allows them to take longer breaks because we got guys that can put it in the basket. Listen, it’s not going to be easy for nobody in the West."

"It’s not going to be easy for Denver to repeat, even though you always got to pick the champion as the favorite right now, and I do. But the Lakers, Memphis with the trades they made, Phoenix and Golden State, and Sacramento and Denver, man, the West is going to be hard."
