In this story:

Los Angeles Lakers All-Star forward LeBron James is in the midst of his 21st NBA season, and the 38-year-old is still somehow one of the best players in the league. While he isn’t the same player that he once was, James still remains one of the best players in the game today.

He can still take over any contest, at any given time, which just speaks to his overall greatness. Many players have been in awe of what he can do at his advanced age, but James just keeps on going.

Long-time NBA analyst Nick Wright of Fox Sports 1 believes that James is the greatest athlete that we have ever seen, and that his performance last week against the Clippers was a reminder of that.

“This is the greatest athlete we’ve ever seen. LeBron James was on the court last night with multiple other first ballot no doubt Hall-of-Famers, he was drafted in 2003. Those guys were drafted in 2008, 2011 and 2012. They all had excellent games and he was the best.”

Wright has a point here, and it has been a common theme over the years with James against many of his younger counterparts. He continues to dominate against them despite the age gap.

We have never seen a player playing at this high of a level in year 21 in the history of the sport, and it speaks to his overall legendary career. It's unlikely that we will ever see another player like James again, so make sure to appreciate his greatness while you still can.
