Lakers News: Patrick Beverley Reacts To Kyrie Irving Trade

Lakers guard loves the trade made by the Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks shocked the NBA world today as they acquired All-Star Kyrie Irving from the Brooklyn Nets. Irving requested a trade on Friday and was adamant that he would leave the Nets when he becomes a free agent this summer.

His wish came true, and he will join fellow All-Star Luka Doncic instead of heading to Los Angeles to join former teammate LeBron James with the purple and gold.

LA missed their shot at acquiring the 2016 NBA champion, and while many fans are upset, one Lakers guard is looking forward to the challenge.

Beverly is one of the fiercest competitors in the NBA today, and from the looks of it he cannot wait to face the Mavs again.

The Mavericks gave up three total draft picks, one first-rounder, two second-rounders, and former Net Spencer Dinwiddie and Dorian Finney-Smith for the 30-year-old.

Beverly and the Lakers won’t have to wait too long to face the new-look Mavericks as they will travel to American Airlines Arena in late February.

I’m sure Beverly will give everything he has against Irving and make him earn every bucket.
