Lakers News: Rumored LA Trade Target Bruce Brown's Next Team Revealed
Toronto Raptors combo guard Bruce Brown's next team after today's trade deadline (which passed at noon PT) has been unveiled!
...It's his current team.
Brown had been rumored as a potential target for your Los Angeles Lakers in the weeks leading up to today. A 6'4" wing capable of convincingly defending any position from 1-4, Brown was the versatile plug-and-play sixth man on a formidable Denver Nuggets club that knocked the Purple and Gold out of the Western Conference Finals in a sweep last spring.
In the 2023 NBA Finals against the Miami Heat, Brown essentially assumed the role of slumping starter Michael Porter Jr. (though Porter continued to start) for Denver. He proved absolutely critical defensively for the Nuggets, and as such was handsomely rewarded as a free agent last summer.
The two-year, $45 million contract he inked with the Indiana Pacers was shipped out to Toronto as part of the Pascal Siakam trade weeks ago.
Bruce Brown feels like he was built in a lab for big random playoff moments. And he's trapped on an Eastern Conference lottery loser, with his money for next year in that program's hands.
