Lakers News: Shannon Sharpe Drops Final LeBron James Retirement Hot Take
Start counting down the days ladies and gentleman... our favorite duo of Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless on the hit sports talk show 'Undisputed' will be coming to an end very soon. Sharpe, who is also also a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, came to a buyout agreement with FS1 and will look to take his talents elsewhere.
The Fox TV personality will record his last handful of episode over the next weeks while the NBA Finals take and speaking of the NBA, Sharpe found himself more involved than ever.
More specifically, he was present at numerous Laker games in the 2022-2023 season and broke the internet when he and superstar Ja Morant's dad got into a heated dispute in a January matchup of LA and the Memphis Grizzlies.
But getting back to his actual show, Sharpe usually defends the name and honor of LeBron James whenever Bayless decides to go on his infamous rants bashing all of his performances and decisions. It is a big reason as to why this partnership always worked and why we'll miss their segments so much.
However, Sharpe made sure to leave us with one last thing to think about regarding James and his future in the NBA. He has made it clear that retirement is a real possibility after the Lakers got swept in the WCF by the Denver Nuggets but the former Broncos TE is not buying these claims.
"I don't believe LeBron James will retire because he's so close to him getting what his ultimate goal is now," said Sharpe. "That is an opportunity to play with Bronny."

Whether or not the four-time NBA champion will actually have already played his final game in the NBA remains one of the biggest talking points in the sports world right now.
It's great to hear Sharpe dedicate some of his own last segments on 'Undisputed' touch base on these matters and I think it's safe to say most fans agree with him.
