Lakers News: Skip Bayless Calls Out NBA Refs for Disrespecting LeBron James

A fresh take from the known LeBron James hater.

Fox Sports 1 NBA analyst Skip Bayless has made a career out of hating LeBron James. He has notoriously been James' No. 1 hater, and he makes that clear in all his takes both on television and on social media.

However, once in a while, Bayless calls it how he sees it, and on Tuesday, that's exactly what he did.

In the Lakers' season opener against the reigning NBA champion Denver Nuggets, Bayless took to Twitter to call out the referees for unfairly calling the game against James and the Lakers.

Here's what Bayless wrote:

"If LeBron got any respect from the refs, this game would be much closer. He shot zero free throws."

Again, it's not often Bayless defends LeBron, so if he's doing it, you know things are out of control. And in the first half of the first game of the NBA season, things were.

James didn't go to the line one time despite constant drives to the hoop — many of which resulted in clear fouls that were not called.

Here's a clear example from Tedd Buddwell on Twitter:

James and the Lakers were able to cut a big deficit to nine before halftime, and are trying to inch their way back in the second half.

It has always been an issue how few calls James gets, though. Hopefully, this issue starts to get cleaned up.
