Headed into their fifth season as teammates with just one championship to their names in 2020, the Lakers superstar duo of Lebron James and Anthony Davis are running out of time to double their ring count as a pair.

Sensing that their time is now with as good of a roster as they've had since their championship season, the Spectrum Sportsnet team predicted some interesting outcomes for the duo coming into 2024.

Many Lakers have been clamoring for a number of years that Lebron in his advanced age should not be the best player on the Lakers roster in either the regular season or postseason.

Pitting the blame on Davis for his lack of aggression, his positional preference to continue playing power forward rather than center and lack of durability fans have voiced all these concerns for the duration of his Lakers tenure.

The panel of pundits agrees as the big man who recently received a new contract extension has all the physical tools to be the best player, not just in LA, but in the entire league.

Ever since his Pelicans days, many predicted that he'd be a dominant two-way force destined for multiple MVPs and Defensive Player of the Year awards.

Neither of those accomplishments are on Davis' mantle just yet, but many think that with MVP candidates from the past four seasons all winning at least one, it's time for new blood for the award.

Displaying his defensive dominance in the playoffs, especially in the Memphis series, Davis may finally be ready to take the next step to aid James in the regular season.

The Lakers will go only as far as Davis' body and mentality will take them and James, the rest of his LA teammates and the entire organization know this fact very well.
