Lakers News: Watch Scotty Pippen Jr.’s Unreal Hops

The Lakers may have a good one in the G League.
In this story:

The Lakers signed Scotty Pippen Jr. as an undrafted free agent this past offseason. He impressed in the Summer League, earning himself a two-way contract for the 2022-23 NBA season.

Pippen has spent a majority of his time with the South Bay Lakers in the G League, but did get a little run with the NBA squad this season. He's scored seven points in 23 minutes at the NBA level.

In the G League, however, he's been putting in work. In 16 games, Pippen is averaging 23.1 points, 4.8 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. Even more impressive, however, may be the dunk he had in a win against the Stockton Kings earlier in December. Take a look for yourself:

Pippen, of course, is the son of NBA Hall-of-Famer Scottie Pippen. He may not have started his career the same way his father did, but he still has plenty of time to work his way into a full-time role with the Lakers. Pippen Sr. wasn't an All-Star until his third year in the league at the age of 24-years-old. Pippen Jr. is still just a 22-year-old rookie.
