As the Lakers get ready for a new season, they enter the year with championship hopes. After reaching the Western Conference Finals last season, the expectations for this club are sky-high.

They have the talent to make another run and should be in good shape considering how their offseason has gone. The team brought in some nice talent to pair alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis, giving them a solid chance at another title.

However, some players on the team will be looking to make another jump. Some aren’t as known commodities in the NBA.

Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report listed each NBA team’s prospect with the highest ceiling and listed wing Max Christie for LA.

“With his frame and 6'9" wingspan, Christie has prototypical size for an NBA wing. And if he can maintain that kind of three-point shooting going forward, he could be an important piece for a team seemingly transitioning to an Anthony Davis-centric future.”

Per Bleacher Report

Christie showed major growth during his time in the NBA summer league this season. His ability to get to the rim and consistently knock down three-point shots was a great sight for the Lakers.

He looked aggressive in finding his own shot as well, something that wasn’t there last year.

Christie looks to have carved out a spot for himself in the rotation due to his strong summer. His jump should allow this team to take things to another level.

"AD should be surrounded by as much shooting as possible, and Christie's defensive instincts would make him a fit with the big man on the other end too."

Per Bleacher Report

The young wing should play the three-and-D role for this team this season. If he can continue to grow his game, the sky is the limit for him.

He was once seen as a long-term project type, but his fast growth seems to have expedited his progression. That's a great thing for the Lakers.
