The Los Angeles Lakers shocked the NBA world when they traded star forward Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for guard Luka Doncic. Now, Lakers legend Pau Gasol has revealed that he spoke with Davis before the trade, indicating his desire to win a championship with Los Angeles.

Before he was sent to Dallas, Davis averaged 25.7 points, 11.9 total rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.1 blocks, and 1.3 steals across 41 games. He is currently out with an abductor injury after one game with the Mavericks.
