In this story:

Basketball has long been associated with shoes that are just as versatile on the court as they are off of it.

From Chuck Taylors to Jordans, basketball is perhaps the most closely associated sport with the fashion world.

Hall of Fame Chicago Bulls shooting guard Michael Jordan revolutionized the shoe landscape when he partnered with Nike to create a shoe that has made him one of the richest athletes of all time. Since Jordan, every star player dreams of having their own signature shoe.

Perhaps the most influential collaboration since Jordan's decision to partner with Nike has been the extensive line of shoes put out by Los Angeles Lakers superstar forward LeBron James.

James' first shoe was the Nike Air Zoom Generation released in 2003, and since has come out with 21 total signature shoes in addition to working with Nike on the Zoom Soldier line.

His shoes vary in style by the years, and the living legend is already a billionaire, due much in part to his business-savvy marketing tactics with Nike.

A fan-favorite through the years has been the LeBron 9s, which come in a plethora of colorways. Earlier this month, James hinted that the popular shoe could be making a return.

We'll have to wait and see if the LeBron 9s make a comeback or not.

Speaking of comebacks, the Lakers were down 63-55 at the half against the Phoenix Suns in their opening game of the inaugural NBA In-Season tournament. The 38-year-old James rattled off 32 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists in the Lakers' winning effort.

L.A. is 4-5 on the season and will next play the Portland Trailblazers Sunday at 7:00 p.m. PST.
