Team USA continues to showcase quite the intriguing system with their young stars in the 2023 FIBA World Cup. More experienced players in Brandon Ingram and Bobby Portis have taken on leadership roles and Tyrese Haliburton and, of course, Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Austin Reaves have been excellent on both ends, but it definitely has been a group effort.

Unfortunately, the US did fall to Lithuania just before the quarterfinals kicked off and that was the talk around the sports world. Outside of Anthony Edwards, Team USA's offense fell stagnant and Lithuania played at a calm pace and connected on a great amount of their own shots.

However, the US got back on track on Tuesday as they took down Italy with a final score of 100-63 as they locked in defensively and never really gave them a chance to take them down.

Mikal bridges led the way in this victory with 24 points and Reaves was able to contribute 12 points, four boards and three assists.

We will see the US again on Friday in the semifinals and updated betting odds show that they remain the favorite to win the gold medal!

BetOnline has Team USA listed with the best odds at -160 to win the tournament, Team Canada at number two with +400 and Team Germany at number three with +750.

It will be very interesting to see how the US continues this stretch of success that they've been especially once they run into opponents that have had more time to game plan against them.

No matter what, high-quality basketball and competition is on the way so make sure you stay tuned for more!
