Los Angeles Lakers All-Star small forward LeBron James and two-way center Anthony Davis chipped in a combined 56 points and 28 rebounds as they led LA to a 111-101 Game 3 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies at home on Saturday, taking a 2-1 edge in their best-of-seven playoff series.

Dillon Brooks, who has been talking smack about James throughout the week in a clear effort to get under his skin, was ejected from the game for good just 17 seconds into the contest's second half for hitting James' crotch.

Clearly Brooks' chicanery, on and off the floor, didn't have much of an on-court impact against James. The four-time MVP approached the Memphis small forward prior to tipoff yesterday to confront him about his aforementioned smack talk.

After the win, James discussed the moment with gathered reporters, though he didn't shed light on precisely what was said, according to Mark Medina of The Sporting News.

“It wasn’t private because everybody caught it,” James revealed. “Everybody saw it. There wasn’t anything private about it. It was very, very public. I like it that way.”

James went on to expound on Brooks' public provocations of him over the past week.

“[The Grizzlies] know what they have to do. I know what I have to do,” James said. “This is not my first rodeo. I had this throughout my career with certain individuals. It’s easy. It’s literally easy.”

“My resume and what I’ve done for this league speaks for itself,” James observed. “I don’t really get caught up with any comments like that. At the end of the day, my focus is to my teammates and us trying to figure out how to beat the Memphis Grizzlies.”
