Lakers News: LeBron James Reacts To Saudi Arabian Soccer Team’s Hefty Offer

How King James feels about Kylian Mbappe's possible new deal.
In this story:

Some people seem to forget that sports also occur outside the United States, and as free as this country is, there is still lots of opportunities elsewhere.

And as much money as LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry are making, there are plenty of athletes around the world that are making way more than you think.

Today, the Private Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia have shocked the sports world, dropping jaws and faces to the ground as Saudi Arabian soccer team, Al-Hilal FC, have offered world renowned soccer sensation Kylian Mbappe a one-year, $1 billion deal.

Yes. $1 billion! For one season!

This news only left LeBron baffled, but jokingly gave his thoughts on Twitter.

Kylian Mbappe, the French Forward who's currently with French club, Paris Saint-Germain, has had the entire soccer world keen on him since his early days in Monaco.

Already have had two consecutive trips to the World Cup Final, winning one (2018) and losing to Lionel Messi in last year's World Cup, Mbappe isn't the only player that's being offered this kind of money.

The Private Investment Fund in Saudi Arabia helps finance Sports organizations all over the country, and does not specialize only in Soccer, but also in their own Golf corporation, LIV Golf.

Players from all over Europe have been offered very similar deals, and many of them have accepted them - but for Kylian Mbappe, he has a choice to make - does he continue to build his legacy in the prestigious leagues of Europe? Or does he live comfortable for one year and take the money in Saudi?

Not necessarily saying that he would do it, but I think it's clear LeBron James is thinking that it would be nice to earn that kind of money.

Saudi Arabia is quickly taking over the sports world, one sport at a time. Could they possibly make an impact on the NBA's future?
