As Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James gets ready for his 21st NBA season, it’s a historic feat. For someone at his age to still be playing at such a high level, it’s astonishing, and we’ve never seen it before,

James remains one of the best players in the NBA today. Last season, James averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game for the Lakers. He helped lead the team to the Western Conference Finals, and in the Lakers final game, he dropped 40 points to try to keep his team alive.

This entire offseason has been filled with talk about his potential retirement because James made some comments at the end of the year last season. But he will be returning, and that means another quest toward a championship for James.

Even at age 38, James still has a drive to be great, and he still wants to win at the highest level. He recently provided an answer as to why he still plays in the NBA, given everything that he has already accomplished.

This coming year will be another challenge for James, as he will be trying to help the Lakers win their 18th title. It would be the most in NBA history, so if the Lakers were to win it all, it would be another historic feat for The King.

Winning with the purple and gold plays a little differently for star players, and James is the biggest star of them all. Even at his age, he can command a crowd like no other, and he remains the face of the league to this day.

LA has the look of a true title contender this season after a strong offseason put together by General Manager Rob Pelinka. He wanted to give James all the help that he could get with the limited resources that the team had available.

They have a very strong team that is filled with depth, and they should be able to compete against anyone in the league. It should be another fun-filled season for James and the Lakers, and it starts very soon.
