Lakers News: LeBron James Shouts Out USC And Bronny’s Medical Staff

The King is grateful for the Trojans.
In this story:

One thing comes first and foremost on LeBron James' priorities: family.

Earlier this summer, James' son Bronny went through a cardiac event during a workout in the leadup to his freshman season on the USC basketball team.

Thankfully, due to quick intervention from USC athletic trainers and staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the Mayo Clinic, Bronny made a full recovery and is projected to play for the Trojans this season.

And the Lakers superstar gave credit to both USC and hospital staff earlier this month -- and also had a message for his oldest son.

James surely always hopes to have great seasons, but he'll head into his 21st year in the NBA with some personal motivation -- motivation that's certainly bigger than basketball.

As for the Lakers heading into this year, Los Angeles will look to continue their momentum coming off a surprising run to the Western Conference Finals last season.

LA didn't lose much off of that team as James, Anthony Davis, Austin Reaves, D'Angelo Russell and Rui Hachimura are all set to run it back this year. Add in new additions like Jaxson Hayes, Gabe Vincent, and Taurean Prince, and the Lakers have one of the deeper rosters in the NBA and definitely have the firepower to make another long playoff run this year.

We'll see what happens on the court, but James is certainly grateful that things are going well for his son, and frankly, that's the most important thing.
