Lakers Legend Unpacks D'Angelo Russell's Huge Passing Performance Against Toronto
The Los Angeles Lakers earned themselves a hard-fought 122-112 win on Friday against the Toronto Raptors and are inching closer to avoid a play-in game altogether.
Lakers superstar center Anthony Davis has been carrying the load mostly in the absence of LeBron James and D'Angelo Russell. However, Russell made his much-anticipated return to the lineup and did not disappoint.
D-Lo was sensational against the Raptors and was by far the best player on the court last night.
The Spectrum SportsNet crew was recapping the win, and Lakers three-time champion and legend Robert Horry broke down the guards' brilliant performance.
D-Lo probably had his best outing as a member of the Purple and Gold. The 27-year-old led the team in scoring, putting up 28 points, 9 assists, 5 rebounds, and hit 5 huge threes, including three in the fourth quarter.
Russell also moved up in the Lakers' all-time three-point makes list, moving to number 20. Through parts of just three seasons in LA, Russell has now made 276 threes and surpassed the man who broke down his performance on the Spectrum SportsNet telecast, Robert Horry.
We're glad to see D-Lo healthy and able to play winning basketball for the Lakers. Our fingers are crossed this continues in the weeks to come.
