Lakers News: Los Angeles Guard Weighs In On Chris Paul Trade To Warriors
It seems like fans weren’t the only ones who were shocked at some of the moves made this NBA offseason. One of the biggest moves made was the Golden State Warriors trade for guard Chris Paul.
Paul had been the subject of trade rumors for a while with the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers, only for Golden State to swoop in.
In a recent appearance on a podcast, Lakers guard Austin Reaves gave his thoughts on the Paul trade to the Warriors. He was on the Full Send Podcast when asked about the deal.
Reaves said "that was strange" when the topic came up. You can check out the rest of the podcast below.
To be fair, it was a weird trade. Nobody expected the Warriors to get Paul because of the history between the two sides. And the fact that Golden State really didn't need another guard on the roster.
But there had been talks to deal Jordan Poole, which likely opened up the discussion to get Paul for the Warriors.
Reaves and the Lakers will likely see Paul and the Warriors again this year assuming that the two make the postseason. LA took down Golden State last year, and the two teams would make for another fun series if they were to meet again.
Reaves is widely expected to take another jump this season after signing his new deal. If he can grow his game even more then the Lakers could be very dangerous in the title race this season.
