Lakers Notes: Malik Beasley, Rui Hachimura, LeBron James Vs Michael Jordan
It's a wrap on your Los Angeles Lakers' 2022-23 season, an up-and-down affair that, all things considered, ended on a high: after being an underdog throughout the playoffs, LA made it all the way to the Western Conference Finals, where it fell to the Denver Nuggets.
Given how the other side of the postseason bracket has played out in the East, and given just terrific Denver has looked in making it to the NBA Finals, it appears that the Nuggets will be heavy favorites to win the whole thing. If that happens, it will make the Lakers' loss a slightly less bitter pill to swallow, as they'll have been vanquished by the champs.
But we digress.
With our attention turning to the offseason, we've of course already been treated to plenty of bulletins about the eternal LeBron-vs.-MJ debate, we find ourselves in the thick of rampant trade chatter, and Nuggets head coach Michael Malone somehow remains annoyed with Los Angeles even after his club roundly defeated them.
