Nuggets' Aaron Gordon Not Concerned About Facing New-Look Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers are hoping that their new lineup will result in a lot of wins over the next few weeks. They are trying to make a run up the Western Conference standings.
Adding Luka Doncic to the Lakers changes the whole fabric of the NBA. Pairing him with LeBron James gives them two dominant offensive forces who can score against any defense in the league.
While Doncic has had a rough start with the Lakers, he is still brushing off some rust after missing over a month due to a calf strain.

Doncic has not been shooting the ball particularly well, but that will change once he gets the rust shaken off. His addition isn't scaring one player in the Western Conference, though.
Aaron Gordon helped the Denver Nuggets win the NBA title back in 2023 over the Miami Heat. He knows what it takes to win a championship.
He's not worried about what the Lakers look like right now. In fact, he's not worried about other teams at all.
"[The Lakers] definitely have a new look to them ... We don't really concern ourselves with other teams." 😤

"They definitely have a new look to them," Gordon said. "We don't really concern ourselves with other teams. We focus on what's going on in our locker room. We take care of what we are supposed to take care of, and let the cards fall where they may."
Gordon clearly isn't worried about the Lakers right now. He's only worried about how well the Nuggets can play, which is the right mentality.
If the Lakers play well, so be it. The Nuggets have to be worried about playing better than them.

Los Angeles should have the same mentality for their own team. They should only be focused on their own play and how things go in their own locker room.
Doncic will figure out how to play better with James and the rest of the team. That should result in more wins and a better seed for Los Angeles once the playoffs roll around.
Gordon is averaging 12.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game this season for the Nuggets.
