Lakers News: Recently Retired LA Hall Of Famer Weighs In On MVP Joel Embiid
Reigning Philadelphia 76ers MVP center Joel Embiid has a new fan in recently retired forward Carmelo Anthony, who spent his last season in a Hall of Fame career with your 2021-22 Los Angeles Lakers.
Though that season at large was fairly disappointing, Anthony's sharpshooting off the bench was one of the few bright spots, along with the emergence of a then-rookie Austin Reaves.
Brandon "Scoop B" Robinson of Bovada Casino recently caught up with the 6'8" stretch four, who offered up a rave review of Embiid.
“His post game is special," Anthony said. He’s 7’2”, he’s big... he’s just hard to guard. I’ll just keep it 100 with you, he’s a tough guy to check out there on the court. I love the fact that he’s playing at his own pace and right now he’s found his pace of play and he’s taking the game a lot more seriously now as you can see, as we all can see and that’s why he’s able to dominate the way that he’s to do it now. He’s playing at an all time high. It’s something that you can’t teach; he has things that you can’t teach. You can sit somebody in the gym all day long but he just has a feel of something that you can’t teach.”
Embiid might be a fascinating trade target for a team exactly like your Los Angeles Lakers at some point in the near future, should Philadelphia continue to squander his talent with weird roster moves over the next season or two.
