Lakers News: LA's Regular Season Finale Promoted To National Broadcast
The last game of your 41-39 Los Angeles Lakers' 2022-23 regular season, a rematch against the Utah Jazz at Crypto.com Arena, will reach a national audience, after all.
As Steve Bulpett of Heavy.com notes, ESPN has elected to broadcast the Lakers-Jazz matinee (tipoff is at 12:30 p.m. PT), with the Boston Celtics' matchup against the Atlanta Hawks set for 10 a.m. PT.
Utah is currently 2-1 for the season against the Lakers, though both its wins (which transpired in November) came against an almost completely different Los Angeles supporting cast than what is currently comprised. Most recently, Los Angeles and its revamped lineup bested a very injured Jazz squad on Tuesday, in a 135-133 overtime victory.
Los Angeles could be without all three of its top scorers on Friday, in its penultimate contest against Kevin Durant's new-look Phoenix Suns.
All-Star Lakers small forward LeBron James is questionable with a sore right foot, starting center Anthony Davis is as well as he continues to recover from a right foot stress injury, and starting point guard D'Angelo Russell is considered probable to suit up with a sore left foot.
