Tonight, your 33-35 Los Angeles Lakers head to the Big Easy to face off against the 33-35 New Orleans Pelicans in a battle of Western Conference play-in contenders.

Both teams will be missing an All-Star forward. The Lakers will be without LeBron James, out for at least another week with a right foot tendon injury. The Pelicans will be missing Zion Williamson, out indefinitely with a strained right hamstring.

Per the NBA's latest injury report, both teams' next-best players may also miss tonight's action. Los Angeles center Anthony Davis is merely probable as he continues to treat his right foot stress injury, while New Orleans forward (and ex-Lakers forward) Brandon Ingram is considered questionable with a right ankle sprain.

LA reserve center Mo Bamba is sidelined for the next four weeks with a left ankle sprain, and Lakers two-way players Scotty Pippen Jr. and Cole Swider are going to be with the team's NBAGL affiliate club, the South Bay Lakers.

Elsewhere on the Pelicans, backup point guard Jose Alvarado is unavailable with a right tibial stress reaction. Rookie two-way power forward E.J. Liddell continues to recuperate from his right knee ACL tear. Two-way rookie New Orleans shooting guard Dereon Seabron is getting up reps with the team's G League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron.
