Los Angeles Lakers reserve-turned-Los Angeles Clippers starting point guard Russell Westbrook has had a stat-stuffing but predictably inefficient and head-scratching start with his new club.

Since Westbrook signed on with the 39-35 Clippers, the team has gone just 6-7, sliding to the fifth seed in the Western Conference.

Conversely, since new additions D'Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, Jarred Vanderbilt and Mo Bamba were activated for the 37-37 Lakers, LA has gone 12-6.

Brodie's big-ticket replacement at the point for LA, D'Angelo Russell, had a lackluster game for the team last week against the Mavericks. Westbrook's brother Ray appeared to pounce on D-Lo's bad night in a loss, liking a tweet from an NBA Central Twitter account ("@TheNBACantrel").

A fan, @BronGotGame, took notice of the perceived anti-D-Lo slight:

Russell Westbrook is putting up modest-but-respectable counting stats with his new team, averaging 14.1 points on .473/.275/.698 shooting splits, 7.3 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals a night across 13 contests.

He continues to be a sub-par defender, a poor late-game decision maker, and, of course, a terrible jump shooter. He is no longer a winning player.

D'Angelo Russell, while not being much better on defense, represents a massive upgrade in the other two departments, whether or not Ray Westbrook opts to acknowledge that.
