The team brought back most of the same core but did upgrade around the edges. They also added to the overall depth of the team, and it should allow them to match up against any team in the league.

Many view LA as one of the better teams in the league, and rightfully so. After the trade deadline a year ago, they vaulted themselves to the top and made the run to being one of the final four teams. 

Now, they have had an entire offseason and training camp to gel together more, and they want to finish what they started last season.

Those are great odds for LA, and they have one of the better chances to hoist up the trophy at the end of the year. Ahead of them are the Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets.

With the flexibility that the Lakers have across the roster, they are in for what looks like a great season. As long as they can stay healthy, the Lakers should be a real problem for opposing teams this season.
