One of your Los Angeles Lakers immortals stands apart as the all-time winningest regular season NBA player in league history, per the league historians at Hoops Hype. Another fell out the top 50.

12-time All-Star, five-time champ and three-time MVP Magic Johnson has emerged as the player with the all-time best winning percentage ever, after previously top-ranked Los Angeles Clippers star forward Kawhi Leonard's own win percentage took a dip.

The Hall of Fame point guard's 670-236 record (73.95%) is now the best ever. A familiar face is just behind Johnson: his longtime arch nemesis, Hall of Fame former Boston Celtics forward Larry Bird owns a 73.58% win percentage. Not too shabby.

No active Lakers currently occupy the top 50 (although an active ex-Laker does), as current LA All-Star small forward LeBron James' 924-497 record (65%) has dropped him out of that tier this season. The Chosen One's longtime former Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers teammate, swingman James Jones, rounds out the list with his 65.02% (461-248).

A variety of past players who logged quality time with the Lakers made the cut. All told, including Johnson, 12 Lakers qualify for the top 50 in regular season win percentage. Here's the full rundown of the other Purple and Gold alums:

5. Michael Cooper - 72.85% (636-237)
