Your Los Angeles Lakers grabbed themselves a much-needed win against the defending champion Golden State Warriors, 113-105, yesterday at Crypto.com Arena.

Lakers star center Anthony Davis led all scorers with 39 points, eight rebounds, and six assists while also blocking two shots and being +17 on the floor.

LA's third-leading scorer on Sunday, Troy Brown Jr., was phenomenal in the win chiming in with 14 points. Following the game, he spoke to Spectrum SportsNet sideline reporter Mike Trudell about what went right for them.

"Our thing tonight was to get back on transition and try to stop as many threes as possible and make sure we're rebounding," Brown said. "We have to get as many wins as we can right now, so I was happy everybody was locked in and a big win for us."

The Lakers played with good energy for most of the game, compared to how they played Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Brown made sure the Lakers were more fluent on offense as he shot 5/10 from the field and made four out of seven threes while grabbing eight rebounds.

Trudell asked Troy about what AD has brought with LeBron James being out and said how he's being more vocal than usual.

"AD has stepped up a lot for us. He's usually a little bit more quiet but he's being vocal in the locker room, trying to talk to guys. He's being that leader that we need sometimes when Bron is on the side. I think he stepped up huge for us and we really need him a lot. He's battling through injuries and whatnot, and we appreciate it "

The Purple and Gold will look continue to build from this win as they take on the Memphis Grizzlies without their superstar player Ja Morant on Tuesday night at Crypto.com Arena.

LA currently occupies the No. 11 seed in the Western Conference with a 31-34 record and is half a game from the 10th seed for a shot at the play-in.
