Lakers News: Watch Bryce James Make Debut For New High School Team

LeBron James' younger son continues his prep school journey.

All-NBA Los Angeles Lakers small forward LeBron James' younger son, 16-year-old Bryce, just suited up for his first contest with Campbell Hall School in Studio City.

Bryce, a 6'6" sophomore small forward, previously played alongside his older brother, LeBron "Bronny" James Jr., at Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth. With Bronny now off to USC in the fall, Bryce has moseyed to his latest basketball destination.

His 19-time All-Star father celebrated Bryce's first game with Campbell Hall in this supportive Tweet:

Though Bronny, essentially a 6'3" shooting guard, has never been considered an absolute top-flight pro prospect, Bryce James at least is thought to possess the tools to become a high-ceilinged, hyper-athletic swingman by scouts in the know, per Brian Windhorst of ESPN. There are a lot of steps he'll have to take to complete that journey, but he'll have every possible advantage en route to getting there, should he so choose.

Meanwhile, with all this talk of the next generation, was the elder James serious about potentially hanging up his sneakers this summer? Prior to the start of the 2022-23 season, James had spoken openly about hoping to play at the NBA level alongside not just Bronny, but also Bryce, which at the earliest would happen in the 2027-28 season, when LeBron would be turn 43 midway through the year.
