Watch Lakers Head Coach Darvin Ham Jump Out the Gym During NBA Playing Days

Coach had some hops!
In this story:

Lakers head coach Darvin Ham showed major promise in his first season with the team. While there were some growing pains along the way, he showed that he could lead the team effectively.

Ham helped get the team to the Western Conference Finals in his first season and will now be looking to improve on that this coming year.

He was able to get players to buy into his system, and as time went on, the Lakers got better. After the trade deadline especially, the team seemed to finally click since they had a competent group of players surrounding LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Ham showed poise and the ability to connect with players, something that isn’t always easy to do with James on the roster. He is the guy moving forward, and the Lakers couldn’t be more thrilled.

But before he become a coach, Ham did play in the NBA himself. He won a title with the Detroit Pistons in 2004, ironically over the Lakers.

Ham was never a star by any means, but he did have some hops. He was one of the better in-game dunkers during his playing days and has his own highlight reel. You can check it out below!

This is really cool to see and shows that Ham has been a basketball person for his entire life. Maybe if things get dire on the court this season, Coach Ham can join the guys and put on a show!
