Hot off a return to the Western Conference Finals, your Los Angeles Lakers are set to be all over national TV next season with a variety of marquee matchups.

The club was reinvigorated after a series of trades in January and February offloaded several over-the-hill veteran guards in exchange for more shooting and size. Los Angeles finished the season strong and is hoping for an encore performance this year (or, ideally, a return to the NBA Finals).

On the negative side, LA stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis will be aging deeper into their 30s this season, and they have a whole new crop of fresh faces against whom they'll compete.

Their game among the most hotly-anticipated of those fresh faces has been circled on at least one expert's calendar.

When asked to submit his favorite impending game for the San Antonio Spurs' No. 1 draft pick Victor Wembanyama, Jamal Collier of ESPN highlighted the Lakers' December 13th date with the 7'4" power forward/center.

"The most hyped NBA prospect since LeBron goes up against LeBron," Collier writes. "It's compelling to see how Wembanyama will handle it, but also how the 20-year vet goes at the rookie."

On that December date, Wembanyama, who projects to be one of the best defensive big men in the league very soon, will also have to contend with one of the current best defensive big men in the NBA right now in Davis.

We're looking forward to it, too.
