A week removed from the Denver Nuggets hoisting the Larry O'Brien Trophy, the NBA offseason train is off to a roaring start. The Phoenix Suns just announced a crazy deal to get Bradley Beal from the Wizards, leaving the door wide-open for Chris Paul to leave, despite being traded to the Wizards.

As I have written a piece recently on the possibility of CP3 making an intriguing switch to the Lakers, there's another point guard that could make the LakeShow their next destination.

Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report believes Miami Heat point guard Kyle Lowry, would be a great fit for the Los Angeles Lakers, due to his contract being the easiest to match.

Entering the final year of his contract, Lowry, at 37 years old, is set to make around $30 million with the Heat, but after being benched towards the Heat's infamous NBA Finals run as an 8th seed, a trade from Vice City could be imminent.

There are rumors of the Heat trying to pursue Portland Trailblazers guard Damian Lillard, forcing a rebuild in Portland if Lowry is traded. And if that is to happen, I could only see Portland buying out the rest of Lowry's contract, making him a free agent.

If that were the case, it could be the best-case scenario for a team like the Lakers, as they would be able to sign him on a veteran's minimum contract for about $12 million.

But if the Lakers wanted to go through the trade route, they would have to trade a player that equals Lowry's value, and the only guard I can see that matches that offer is point guard  D'Angelo Russell.

Russell is also set to become an unrestricted free agent as he finishes off the final year of his sign-and-trade deal he initially signed with the Brooklyn Nets, so that situation is very unlikely as the Lakers are still working out the possibility of re-signing him.
