ORLANDO - The New York Knicks' loss to the Orlando Magic on Friday night has marked the end of an era.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Knicks are trading RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and a 2024 second-round pick to the Toronto Raptors for OG Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa and Malachi Flynn.

In Barrett's last game for the Knicks, he scored 19 points on 7 of 17 shooting against the Magic. Meanwhile, Quickley added 12 points off the bench with 3 triples.

In return for their services, the Knicks get Anunoby, one of the league's premier wing defenders to pair with Julius Randle in the frontcourt. The team also gets Achiuwa, who will help aid the team's frontcourt depth with the loss of Mitchell Robinson. Flynn is also in the deal to give the team a guard to replace Quickley, but the crown jewel of the deal is Anunoby.

Anunoby, 26, is averaging 15.1 points per game for the Raptors this season while shooting 37.4 percent from beyond the 3-point line. According to ESPN's Bobby Marks, Anunoby is eligible today for a four-year, $116.9 million extension. If he doesn't sign today, he is able to extend for two years, $40 million. He currently has a player option for next season for $19.9 million, which he will likely decline.

The Magic and Knicks are set to meet the Knicks again on Jan. 15 at Madison Square Garden.
